Integrate Flodesk & WPForms
Flodesk lets you design beautiful emails and create high converting checkout pages.
Our plugin lets you integrate WPForms with Flodesk, allowing form submissions to be automatically sent to your Flodesk account.
Download the Plugin
First you’ll need WPForms. We recommend using a paid version so you’ll save a copy of all submissions in the database, but this plugin also works with the free WPForms Lite.
Next, you can download the Integrate Flodesk & WPForms plugin. This will put a zip file on your computer.
In your WordPress site, go to Plugins > Add New > Upload and upload the zip file, then activate the plugin.
Note: I’ve submitted this to the WordPress plugin directory, and once approved you’ll be able to install it by searching in Plugins > Add New.
Connect your Flodesk Account
Go to WPForms > Settings > Integrations and click on Flodesk. Click the “Add New Account” button to connect a Flodesk account (you can connect multiple Flodesk accounts if needed).
Click here to get your Flodesk API key, then paste it in the API key field. You’ll also want to give your account a nickname.
Connect to a form
Open WPForms and edit the form you’d like to connect to Flodesk. Go to Marketing > Flodesk to configure the settings. At a minimum you’ll need an email field, but you can also provide a first name and last name.
Choosing Segments
If you would like to add form submissions to a particular segment in Flodesk, you can select those segments under the Select Groups section:
The Select Groups section can be found on the configuration page at Marketing > Flodesk.
Adding Data to Custom Fields
If you have custom fields set up in Flodesk, you will be able to select them to store information submitted in your form’s fields. Under List Fields on the configuration page at Marketing > Flodesk, you will see a list of available fields in Flodesk. There are three default fields in Flodesk – Email, First Name, and Last Name. If you have any custom fields in Flodesk, those will be shown below those fields with the prefix “Custom”. To map a field from your form to the Flodesk Custom Field, choose from the Available Form Fields dropdown on the right.
Troubleshooting
If your WPForms submissions are not arriving in your Flodesk account, there may be an issue with your API connection.
Inside WPForms, go to Tools > Logs, check “Enable logs”, and under Log Types select “Providers”. Be sure to click “Save Changes” after making changes.
At the bottom of this page is a “View Logs” section. This contains a log entry every time there’s a submission that runs through any providers (including Flodesk), and detail the response received from the API.
Click on one of the logs titled “Flodesk”. You can send the message to Flodesk support to help them diagnose the issue you’re having.
If the submission was successful, inside the “response” section you’ll see “200” as the code and “OK” as the message. If the submission was not successful, you’ll see some other code in there and a message describing the issue.
