How to log in
You can add /wp-admin/
to the end of your website’s URL to log in and access the backend. Once you are logged in, you’ll see the Admin Bar at the top of pages, and can click “Edit Page” to edit the current page.
List View
In the top left of the editor, click the icon with three lines to open the List View. This will give you an overview of all the blocks on the page. We find it’s an easier tool for selecting blocks, inserting blocks before or after a specific one, and creating groups.
Post Listing block
The Post Listing block lets you dynamically display posts across your site. For more information, see our article on the Post Listing block.
Quick Links block
The Quick Links block lets you highlight categories or other content on your homepage as circle or square image links. For more information, see our article on the Quick Links block.
Reordering elements on the page
When you have a block selected in the content editor, you can use the up and down arrows to move it on the page.
You can also move the block inside the List View by dragging the block up and down.
Adding new elements
When you have a block selected in the editor, click the three dots and then select “Insert before” or “Insert after”. This will add a paragraph block before / after the current block. Alternatively, you can click the three dots next to the block in the List View to perform the same action.
Inside the paragraph block, type “/” and the name of the block you’d like to add. This will search the available blocks based on what you’ve typed. You can arrow up/down through the results, then hit “enter” on the block you would like.
Add a full width background
You can use the group block to add a background to any block on the page.
- Select the block, then either in the List View or the buttons above the block in the editor, click the three dots, then “Group”.
- In the right sidebar, uncheck “Inner blocks use content width”
- Directly above that checkbox, click the half-filled circle, which opens the styles menu.
- Select “Background” and then select a color from your color palette. You’ll now see the background color applied to your group, but it isn’t full width yet.
- Directly above the group in the content editor, click the Alignment button and select “Full Width”.
