Support Pricing

Occasionally, you may want new creative work—adding a new block or feature, modifying or redesigning an existing block or element, etc. When you need new creative work, just contact us! We’ll put together an estimate outlining the scope and cost, and add it to our production schedule once the estimate is signed.

All our themes have three classifications of elements: Global, Blocks, and WPRM. We have over 175+ elements in Cultivate Pro to select from; if you’d like to change an element you currently have to a different one, or you’d like to add a newer element you don’t currently have, we can add them one of four ways: Essential, Standard, Signature, and Masterpiece.

Global Elements

Global Elements are usually large areas seen on many pages throughout a site. Includes the site header, site footer, post header, and category header.

Block Elements

Block elements are usually singular areas to be placed on a page. Includes about, cookbook, tip, faqs, email, save recipe, and more.

WP Recipe Maker has a robust template editor, so we can change yours or make a brand-new template.

Additional Changes

We can also help with technical issues and creative changes outside of what’s outlined above. Just send us an email, and if it’s something we can do, we’ll provide an estimate.

If the scope is well defined, we’ll provide a fixed-bid estimate. If the scope is more open-ended (ex: design and build a landing page for our new cookbook), we’ll complete the work as hourly support ($250/hr in 15 min increments).

Our $100 Quick Fix is the minimum for any code change. We have a well defined support process to ensure no issues are introduced to your live website, which adds 10-15 minutes on top of the time spent implementing your actual code change (even a 1-line code change).

We encourage you to check with your technical support partner first (NerdPress, iMark Interactive, etc) as they might be able to complete the work as part of your support plan.

For every code change, we do the following:

• Pull the latest version controlled copy of your theme from GitHub into a local development environment
• Pull a fresh copy of your theme from your live site and check for changes, in case someone other than CultivateWP has made edits. If so, we commit those changes to the version control history.
• We make the required code changes in the local development environment, and test to ensure everything works correctly. We never directly edit your live website (“cowboy coding”) as the smallest typo could take down your website.
• We commit the code change to your project’s GitHub repo (version control) with a clear and descriptive commit message. If lots of changes are made, we’ll include a link to the original estimate in the commit message for future reference.
• We push the code updates to your live site using our migration tool (WP Migrate).
  • If there are global changes, like designing a new post header, we’ll push the updates to your staging environment for review first, and only push to the live site on approval. Quick fixes typically don’t require staging approval. New blocks will be reviewed on a private page (only accessible by you) on your live site.
• We clear all levels of your cache, which can take some time.

• We test the live site to ensure there are no issues, and then send it to you for review.

We version control all our code changes so if you have any questions or issues in the future, we can track exactly when and why a change was made.
